  • Le’Veon Bell has announced that he will be leaving Michigan State for the NFL Draft and he will not be attending school there for his senior year.
  • Dion Sims has also announced that he will be entering the NFL Draft and will not be returning to school at Michigan State. Rumor has it that William Gholston may be following suit.
  • While basketball coach Tom Izzo has expressed that he has big expectations for player Alex Gauna, he hasn’t utilized this player as much as he should.
  • Pennsylvania’s governor is calling for Penn State’s NCAA sanctions to be lifted.
  • Denzel Valentine is receiving national attention for being the freshman basketball player to watch.
  • MSU’s women’s basketball team won the season Big Ten Opener over Minnesota 66-51. The women play next on Sunday, January 4th. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network at 2:15 p.m.
  • The men’s basketball team will be playing Purdue at noon tomorrow, Saturday January 5th. The game will be televised on Big Ten Network. Check here for live coverage of the game.
  • The ice hockey team will be paying Ferris State Saturday evening at 5:05 p.m.
  • Swimming and diving begins next week on January 11th. The team has been training hard in preparation for the start of the season.
