Physical Game for Spartans, Northwestern; Spartans trail 20-13 at end of 3rd

This Senior Day game has been a tough one for fans of green and white football. After a touchdown by Northwestern early in the third quarter after an interception and a conversion, the Spartans tied up the game, bringing the score 13-13 when Aaron Burbridge made a stellar catch in the end zone. This tie however was short-lived when Northwestern scored a second time, bringing the score to 20-13.

This has been a physical game, there have been two injuries for the Wildcats and one injury for Spartans. The Spartans also let the Wildcats take four turnovers; Andrew Maxwell’s final pass of the third quarter was intercepted by Northwestern’s Jared Carpenter.
