Michigan State LB Max Bullough ranked No. 3 best defender in conference

According to BTN.com blogger Brent Yarina, Michigan State linebacker Max Bullough is the third best defensive player in the Big Ten.

“The anchor and leader of the Big Ten’s premier defense, Bullough totaled 10 tackles and one tackle for loss in Saturday’s home loss to Nebraska,” Yarina wrote Monday.

His ranking of Bullough seems about right. Entering last weekend, Michigan State had the No. 5 ranked defense in the nation and the best defense in the conference. Despite Michigan State falling behind late against Nebraska, the defense did look great.

It goes without saying how much Bullough helps this team.
