Michigan State football: Big Ten recruiting update

BIG TEN RECRUITING UPDATE:

Northwestern hosted 2014 guard Shane Evans (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge High School) two weeks ago for the Iowa game. He is a player who has visited at Michigan State in the past.

Wisconsin received a verbal commitment from 2013 running back Corey Clement (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro High School) last Friday. He visited Nebraska Aug. 31 and Notre Dame Sept. 21, but his Oct. 19 visit to Wisconsin impressed him to end his recruiting process for now. He also held offers from Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue, among others.

Notre Dame received a verbal commitment from 2013 cornerback Cole Luke (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton High School) last Thursday. He held offers from Michigan, Nebraska, and Purdue, outside of several other offers from elite BCS conference teams.

Purdue had junior athlete Dekota Jones (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier High School) on its visit list this weekend. Ball State is also showing interest in him this year.
