According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio has offered a scholarship to 2014 cornerback Tim Cason (Clarkston High, Clarkston, Mich.).
ESPN reports that he is a 6-foot, 178-pound receiver who runs a 5.05 40-yard dash. Clearly the Spartans feel he would be an effective defensive back because that is what the team is recruiting him as.
Cason holds additional offers from Bowling Green and Toledo. Michigan State was his first offer from a BCS football program.
Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press reported Thursday that Michigan State will get fullback Niko Palazeti (ankle) back for Saturday’s game against Nebraska. He also reported that safeties R.J. Williamson (ankle) and Jarius Jones (leg) are still unsure if they will play or not.
Denard Robinson (nerve) will start Saturday for Michigan at Minnesota, according to coach Brady Hoke. It is undecided if Russell Bellomy or Devin Gardner will be the backup. Whoever plays the best in practice this week will win the job.
