As expected, Michigan State football did not land in the AP Top 25 Poll in Week Nine after losing to Michigan 12-10 on the road. The Spartans finally showed signs of life on offense, and quarterback Andrew Maxwell looked competent behind center. The defense put in a valiant effort Saturday. Pat Narduzzi and his group of players have held opposing offenses to 20 points or less six times this season, which is a tremendous feat for any team to accomplish. Not to mention Michigan did not score any TDs the entire game.
