BTN.com released it’s weekly Big Ten power rankings Sunday and writer Tom Dienhart ranked Michigan State football at No. 8 in the conference. It’s interesting to see the Spartans ranked ahead of Purdue, a team that took Ohio State to overtime in Columbus on Saturday. Apparently he believes Purdue’s loss was worse than the Spartans’ 12-10 loss at Michigan Stadium against the Wolverines.

Here is what Dienhart wrote about MSU:

The defense continues to do a standout job, limiting Michigan to 326 yards. But the Spartan offense continues to struggle, which is why they are having issues. Le’Veon Bell had just 68 yards rushing on 26 carries vs. Michigan.

Did you notice how he mentioned that quip about Bell? I’ve been harping on this all weekend. Mark Dantonio and Dan Roushar need to do all that they can to get Bell the ball. Michigan State is 3-1 this season when Bell gains more than 100 yards per game. Not to mention the Spartans have only won one game when Bell rushes for less than 100 yards. Feed Bell the ball!
