The Troy Trojans are the latest football program to join the movement to support breast cancer awareness, as the team will where pink adidas gloves this Saturday against Western Kentucky in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Troy will wear the adidas adzero gloves that are black, grey and have pink tightening straps and fingers. These gloves are dissimilar to the ones that most NFL players where because the glove is not colored entirely pink. Also, instead of featuring the brand’s logo centered in the middle of the glove, the adzero places the adidas logo off center, toward the outside where a player would have his thumb.

I like these gloves a lot more than the NFL’s because there is only a subtle amount of pink and not so much that it is overwhelming to the fans watching on television. Troy is doing the right thing by calling attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I compliment them for doing it in a less gaudy fashion than most football teams do.
