Michigan State football receives votes in Week 7 Fansided Top 25 Poll

Michigan State football did not crack the Fansided Top 25 Poll in Week Seven, despite coming from behind to beat Indiana 31-27 on the road Saturday. The Spartans garnered two votes from pollsters, but it would have taken a minimum of 31 votes to earn the No. 25 spot this week.

Fansided.com’s writers are very down on the Big Ten this week. The only team to be featured in the poll was Ohio State at No. 8. However, outside of Michigan State’s two votes, Northwestern, Michigan and Nebraska each received recognition. The Big Ten will look more promising to voters as soon as more of the Big East, Big 12 and Sun Belt schools lose games.

Next week is the debut of the first 2012 BCS poll and should Michigan State beat Iowa at Spartan Stadium, the Spartans could make an appearance in the bottom half of voter’s ballots.
