Big Ten: No. 12 Ohio State beats up No. 21 Nebraska 68-38

No. 21 Nebraska at No. 12 Ohio State football – Urban Meyer has done the improbable by starting his head coaching career at Ohio State with a 6-0 record, having the only undefeated team in the Big Ten and mentoring yet another quarterback to play at the Heisman level.

Ohio State started off slow, but as soon as the team shook of its rust, the Nebraska Cornhuskers football program had no shot at beating the No. 12 Buckeyes, losing 63-38.

Quarterback Braxton Miller accounted for 127 passing yards, 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Carlos Hyde added 138 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries on the ground, and Jeff Jeuerman reeled in two receptions for 53 yards and  a score.

‘Huskers running back Rex Burkhead looked stellar, rushing for 119 yards; however, QB Taylor Martinez threw three crucial interceptions that hindered Nebraska’s ability to find the end zone.

Nebraska (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) will most likely head to Northwestern Oct. 20 as an unranked team in the AP Poll, and Ohio State (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will travel to Memorial Stadium to play against Indiana next weekend.
