Local: Eastern Michigan football loses to Kent State 41-14

Kent State at Eastern Michigan football – Eastern Michigan football will remain undefeated for another week, as Kent State traveled to Ypsilanti to put away the Eagles 41-14 at Rynearson Stadium.

Eagles quarterback Tyler Benz only completed 9 of 17 passes for 93 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, and, as a team, Eastern Michigan was only about to gain 200 yards.

Kent State was able to gain 321 yards and three touchdowns with its rushing attack on Saturday, but the Golden Flashes were also helped out by Spencer Keith’s arm, as he tossed for 113 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Eastern Michigan (0-5, 0-2 MAC) will have a tough battle next Saturday when the Toledo Rockets travel to Ypsilanti. Kent State will travel to Michie Stadium to take on Army next Saturday.
