Michigan State football opens as 14.5 favorite vs. Indiana

As of Sunday night, three different sports books have opened with Michigan State football as a 14.5 point favorite against Indiana in Memorial Stadium.

Indiana is currently 2-2, and 0-1 in Big Ten conference play. The Hoosiers have beaten Indiana State 24-17 and UMass 45-6, but have lost to Ball State 41-39 and Northwestern 44-29. This year’s edition of the Indiana football program appears to be better than year’s past and it’s obvious that the Hoosiers are going to score some points.

However, the line appears to be a bit high. Michigan State struggles to score on offense and have relied on its stellar defense to keep them in games. It is understandable that Michigan State is a superior team compared to Indiana, but the Spartans cannot get the ball in the end zone. This game is a very interesting matchup this weekend because the Hoosiers have yet to score less than 24 points. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hoosiers hang at least 25 points on the Spartans.
