Big Ten: Louisiana Tech crushes Illinois football 52-24

Louisiana Tech at Illinois football – Quarterbacks Riley O’Toole and Nathan Scheelhaase combined for 205 yards, one touchdown and one interception through the air for the Illinois football team, but it wasn’t enough to beat Louisiana Tech, as the Illini lost 52-24 in Champaign.

Donovonn Young added 78 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries on the ground for Illinois. Josh Ferguson reeled in 10 catches for 84 yards, and Ryan Lankford nabbed five passes for 51 yards and a score.

Illinois football (2-2, 2-1 home) host Penn State next Saturday at Memorial Stadium, as the Illini look to kick off its Big Ten conference schedule with a win.
