Big Ten: Minnesota football trounces Syracuse 17-10

Syracuse at Minnesota football – Minnesota football put away Syracuse 17-10 on Saturday, as the Golden Gophers (4-0, 3-0 home) managed to rush for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Donnell Kirkwood carried the ball 28 times for 99 yards and the two aforementioned rushing scores. Backup quarterback Max Shortell continued his success, completing 16 of 30 passes for 231 yards in an impressive effort.

Syracuse football and quarterback Ryan Nassib couldn’t get the offense moving, as Nassib threw two interceptions.

Minnesota will kick off its Big Ten conference schedule at Iowa next Saturday.
