Big Ten: No. 25 Nebraska football wipes out Idaho State 73-7

Idaho State at No. 25 Nebraska football – Rex Burkhead carried the rock for 119 yards and two touchdowns, as he and the Nebraska Cornhuskers blew out Idaho State football 73-7 Saturday at Memorial Stadium. He appeared healthy and ready for the start of Big Ten conference play.

Burkhead, and nine other rushers, combined for a total of 52 carries, 385 yards and five touchdowns. Quarterback Taylor Martinez completed 9 of 13 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

In a game that probably shouldn’t have been played, Nebraska football looked stellar against its outmatched FCS foe.

Nebraska (3-1, 3-0 home) kicks off Big Ten conference play by hosting Wisconsin next Saturday.
