Where is Le'Veon Bell in our Week 3 Heisman Watch?

This week’s Heisman Watch column has no surprises. New comers Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas and Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson pushed Montee Ball and Landry Jones out of the rankings. Ball was nonexistent against Oregon State during Wisconsin’s loss to the Beavers and Robinson put up a ton of numbers worth warranting Jones’ move out of Spartan Avenue’s watch list.

Le’Veon Bell stays put at No. 3 in the Spartan Avenue rankings because, although he was not much of a factor outside of his two recorded touchdowns, the Michigan State Spartans did not need to rely on him at all against the Central Michigan Chippewas. He’ll continue to put up monster numbers the rest of the season. It all depends on the level of play that the Spartans’ opponents are capable of playing.

USC’s Matt Barkley continues to lead the watch list, as he led the Trojans to a second victory last Saturday. This time the team beat Syracuse.
