Week 2 College Football games to watch

Here is a list of five other college football games this weekend that should be of interest to any casual college football fan before and after the Michigan State at Central Michigan game…

Saturday, Sept. 8, 12:00 PM

Penn State at Virginia

This should be an interesting matchup because Penn State is facing a relatively decent opponent from the ACC and I’m intrigued to see if the Nittany Lions can rebound from its Week 1 loss against the Ohio Bobcats from the MAC.

7:00 PM

Washington at No. 3 LSU

The college football schedule looks very dire this week, but this game should prove to be one of the most competitive. It also features probably two of the stronger teams around the nation squaring off. And, hey, at least it’s not LSU against a cupcake, right?

7:30 PM

No. 17 Nebraska at UCLA

This game is a pretty interesting matchup because UCLA is under new leadership with Jim L. Mora and Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez is coming off one of his best career games.

8:00 PM

Vanderbilt at Northwestern

Last week Northwestern one in thrilling fashion against Syracuse. This game should be no different for the Wild Cats as they host Vanderbilt, an SEC team on the rise.

10:30 PM

No. 19 Oklahoma State at Arizona

Rich Rodriguez started off his career at Arizona with a win of Toledo. Now let’s see how he does against a school that just hung 84 points on FCS level Savannah State.
