As expected, the Spartans moved up the AP Top 25 poll from No. 13 to 11 after beating the Boise State Broncos 17-13 Friday night at Spartan Stadium.
In a forgettable offensive performance by quarterback Andrew Maxwell, the Spartans held on to beat the Broncos thanks to the legs of Le’Veon Bell, who rushed for 210 yards on 44 carries for two touchdowns.
This week the Spartans will head to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to take on the Chippewas Saturday at 3:30 PM.
MSU’s bigger brother to the east dropped from No. 8 to 19 after being drummed by Alabama 41-14 in the Cowboy Classic last Saturday.
