Big Ten Network predicts the Michigan State Spartans to play in Rose Bowl

Tom Dienhart, senior writer for, projected the bowl games that nine different Big Ten teams could play in based on how week one shook out around the country. Michigan State fans have nothing to be upset about because Dienhart predicted the Spartans to play against Oregon in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 2013. Not bad…

Last season the Oregon Ducks won the Rose Bowl against the Wisconsin Badgers—with the Badgers being the team that put away the Spartans in the Big Ten conference championship game.

It isn’t out of the realm of possibility for the Spartans to make it to the Rose Bowl this season as they were only way game away from making it there last year. It is also not impossible to believe that the Spartans could only lose a maximum of two games this season, but we’ll see, right?

Answer our poll question: Is it Rose Bowl or bust for the Spartans this year? Let us know!
