CBS Sports names Izzo coach of the year

Tom Izzo was named the coach of the year by CBS Sports, and more so, the website apologized to “the future hall of famer” for not including the Spartans in their preseason top 25.

Also, Draymond Green picked up his second All-American honor. He was selected to Sporting News’ first team last week.

Green was named to the first team along with Kendall Marshall (North Carolina), Isaiah Canaan (Murray State), Thomas Robinson (Kansas) and the player of the year, Anthony Davis (Kentucky).

Robbie Hummel was named the comeback player of the year while Michigan’s Trey Burke and Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger were named to the second team.

Burke was also was named to the freshman All-American team along with Indiana’s Cody Zeller.
