It’s the first time since 1999 that Detroit has made the NCAA Tournament.

Everyone in Michigan has probably heard of Ray McCallum, the standout player from Detroit. He led the Titans with 19 points in the win.

As for the NCAA Tournament, Detroit will likely earn a 12 or 13 seed, which if you’re playing the Titans in the first round, that would be one tough game.

The last RPI update had the Titans (22-13 overall) ranked No. 138 with a schedule strength of 194.

Their best wins of the year came against Valpo on Tuesday and Cleveland State three days ago — both are RPI Top 100 teams.

The Titians do have 13 losses on the season, but they are 15-3 since Jan. 8, a run that started with a home win over Butler.

So long as the Spartans don’t see them in the Tournament, we say good luck, Titans.
