Super performance from Michigan State against Michigan

It’s Super Bowl Sunday and it was a super effort for Michigan State as the Spartans ended their three-game losing streak to Michigan in a 64-54 win.

The No. 9-ranked Spartans (18-5, 7-3 Big Ten) dominated the boards against the Non. 22-ranked Wolverines (17-7, 7-4) by plus 24 — a margin that was just too much for Michigan to overcome.

MSU was led by Draymond Green, who had 14 points and 16 rebounds. Yes, he out-rebounded the Wolverines (who had a total of 15) by himself.

The Spartans also got 10 points each from Keith Appling and Brandon Dawson.

As for the Big Ten race, the Spartans still control their destiny. MSU trails Ohio State by one game in the standings, but the two will play twice before the regular season comes to a close.

Up next for Michigan State is a home game against Penn State (10-14, 2-9) on Wednesday before playing at No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday.
