Michigan State is viewed as a No. 3 seed for the NCAA Tournament, according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, who released his updated Bracketology today.
The Spartans (15-3 overall) are ranked No. 9 in both major polls and are likely on the cusp of a No. 2 seed. Of course there is a ton of basketball yet to play to decide seeding.
In Lunardi’s projections, he has MSU playing No. 14 seed Akron in the first game, followed by the winner between 6-seeded Seton Hall and 11-seeded Xaiver, if Sparty would win of course.
In total, there are eight Big Ten teams in the updated prognostication.
Here is where Lunardi has other Big Ten teams:
- Ohio State — No. 2 seed
- Michigan State — No. 3 seed
- Indiana — No. 3 seed
- Michigan — No. 5 seed
- Illinois — No. 6 seed
- Wisconsin — No. 8 seed
- Purdue — No. 8 seed
- Northwestern — N0. 11 seed.
